West Coast Case Competition

The West Coast Case Competition (WCCC) is a professional, talent-driven, and intellectually stimulating case competition that invites students to tackle issues faced by leading firms in the consulting industry and to compete at the highest level. It is designed to challenge the brightest and to reward their efforts.  This high profile one-day event will bring together the leading students of UBC and representatives from sponsoring consulting firms in efforts to drive talent, promote recruiting efforts and stimulate lasting relationships.

Our objective

The objectives set out by the UBC Consulting Club and the Case Competition Club are threefold:

  1. To increase the students' exposure to real problems faced by consulting firms  and to develop the skills to tackle these issues.
  2. To provide a venue for students demonstrate their talent to the top firms in the consulting industry and to build meaningful relationships with fellow students and industry professionals.
  3. To assist students with opportunities to attain entry-level positions at consulting firms.

Mission

The West Coast Case Competition’s mission is to drive UBC’s talent pool into prominence among consulting firms and to attract top-tiered consulting firms by displaying UBC students as not only being competitive against other schools but to be ranked among the top Canadian universities.

So what does the future hold?

The year's case competition is the first step to hosting the first consulting case competition on the West Coast that will bring participants from local and national universities together to UBC to compete at the highest level. In the following years, WCCC will expand into a two-day event: one day will be dedicated to speakers, networking and the case competition preliminary rounds; the second day will consist of a career fair (with the top firms), gala dinner, and the final round.

Take part in this great case competition and help build the foundations that will help shape UBC and the opportunities available to students for years to come!
